Years ago, Spider-Man and his cast of characters suffered a horrible loss...but the aftermath went largely unexplored. Now we travel back to the days after Captain George Stacy died at the hands, make that tentacles, of Doctor Octopus. How did Harry Osborn, J. Jonah Jameson and Gwen Stacy deal with this horrific event? Most importantly, how did Peter Parker react when he came to the realization that he hadn't honored his pledge to the dying Captain to take care of Gwen? And what of Otto Octavious himself?
